Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Gooder is an app that helps professional dog trainers track training
sessions, assign homework, and share report cards with their clients.
This policy explains what information Gooder collects and how it is
used. We aim to keep it in plain language.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address, name, and
(optionally) phone number when you create or edit your account, directly
or via Google or Apple sign-in.
- Training data — the information trainers and
clients enter to use the product: client and dog names, session notes
and skill scores, homework, programs, practice check-ins, and photos and
videos.
- Voice notes, if you use the microphone — when you
tap the mic to dictate, what you say is turned into text and that text
is used to fill in a screen for you to check. We do not store the
recording, and the microphone is only ever on while you have that
screen open.
- Basic technical data — logs necessary to operate
and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the product: syncing your data between your devices and
the people you share it with (a trainer's clients, a client's
trainer).
- To send transactional email you'd expect: account confirmation and
invitations. No marketing email, no newsletters you didn't ask
for.
- To read a dictated note: the text is sent to an AI service that
returns the fields it found — a date, a dog's name, skill scores — so
the app can fill them in. It is never used to train anyone's model, and
nothing is saved until you review the screen and save it yourself.
We do not sell your data or share it with
advertisers. There are no ads in Gooder.
Who can see your data
Training data is shared only along the trainer–client relationship:
trainers see their clients' dogs and submissions; clients see their own
dogs' training, homework, and the notes their trainer chooses to share.
Report cards are visible to anyone who has been given that report
card's private link.
Services we rely on
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file
storage (hosted in the United States).
- Cloudflare — website and app hosting, and video
hosting (Cloudflare Stream) for practice and library videos.
- Resend — sending transactional email.
- Anthropic — reads the text of a dictated note and
returns the fields it found. It receives that text only, and only when
you dictate.
- Apple — speech recognition converts what you say
into text; on iOS this may be processed on Apple's servers.
- Google and Apple — optional sign-in providers, if
you choose to use them.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently
delete your account and its data at any time from within the app: open
the account menu (your avatar) and choose Edit account →
Delete account. Deleting a trainer account removes that
trainer's practice — its clients, dogs, sessions, programs, homework, and
media. Deleting a client account removes you from your household; the
dog's training history stays with the trainer. You can also email
[email protected] and we will
remove your data within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note
the new date above.
